I work with couples to create ceremonies that support long term commitment and success in their marriages.
We're in the thick of it. Wedding season, that is. A lot of people will be full of dreams. They'll feel the impulse to get married –ASAP. Some are asking me for help with that. But, I'm not your guy. Not if you're full of dreams and looking to ti the knot ASAP.
I am, however, the guy if you are ready to slow down. To take some time. To do the work to prepare for what marriage demands of us. There's a longer version of what I consider to be my "wedding work." I'm happy to share it.
But first, here's the short version:
- I'm ordained and able to provide legal weddings in BC (and elsewhere across Canada; it'll just mean some additional paperwork on my end if I'm asked to travel to Medicine Hat or Chicoutimi or Moncton to perform a legal ceremony).
- I take wedding ceremonies seriously. I think they have the potential to "change the world." I think they're so important that I prefer to work with couples for 6-12 months prior to the ceremony.
I want to work with couples to create ceremonies and a true-to-their marriage ritual practices that will support long term commitment. I think marriage may be the hardest thing we, as humans, volunteer to do. I think how we craft a ceremony and the rituals that sustain its promise are important.
