SHORT: OUR ART
Success, however we define it, is a moment.
If, as Kakuzo Okakura says, “The art of life is a constant readjustment to our surroundings,” then the art or the question of marriage is simply, as per David Deida, How are you “sustaining your own openness when your partner collapses?”
Nothing is fixed. Everything changes. Failure is real. Success, however we define it, is a moment. Our choices —to open, to close— are the brushstrokes of our art. Our art is the true source of love, beauty, joy.
