INFINITE TRUST

Daily Meditation & Practice for the Sacred Masculine, June 22

INFINITE TRUST
  • Today's suggested practice: Day 22 of this month's practice... (see below)
  • My playlist while writing today's meditation: the wind blowing through the fruit trees in the orchard as I sit here, watching the branches dance...
  • My morning practice: 60 minutes of physical, yogic, and meditative practice, including Infinite Trust pranayama and meditation
  • My vulnerability practice: Receiving... receiving... and more, receiving...
  • NOTE: The June intake for the Men's Basic Six program is full... Please email me at hans@sacredbodies.ca if you'd like to get an “early bird” discount for the September intake of that program, or if you're ready for the Men's Foundation program, also starting in the Fall.
  • There’s a little ps. at the bottom of this post today…

TODAY'S MEDITATIONOne of my teachers once said, Knowing intuitively, you will not be surprised.

I am still surprised. And yet, I do begin to feel an infinite trust foreshadowing the unreasonable knowing that allows me to pass through every block, more fully myself.

It was, and remains, one of the most beautiful things in my life: to allow myself to be shown my path, not willing it, not striving for it, not seeking it, but allowing myself to be shown. And then, to feel myself so deeply and truly and unreservedly committed to following it. How, I ask, How have I come to be here? What gift is this?

It's not that I don't doubt my way. But even these doubts, so often manifest as the recent sharp pain of impatience, even these serve me: they remind me to take nothing for granted, even the seeming obviousness of my path, even the power of my commitment. And especially: the nourishment of her radiance.

Yes, it is all here for me. But my attention must be full. I must be completely aware. Fully awake to what my beloved brings me.

I have held a treasure in my hands and lost it.

My beloved says to me, You are not like that now. She tells me, and, without resistance, I listen to what she tells me about a change she knows, in her so-sensitive feminine body. No small thing, for me to listen and take in what she says (I am so used to argument!). I listen. I let this sink in. And I practice. I allow doubt to sharpen me, that I may fully attend to and honour her insight, trusting her infinite wisdom as my Oracle. And I believe myself to be the man I love. Again, no small thing.

TODAY'S INSPIRATIONS🌀The force that allows sacredness to become pertinent and applicable to this world of three and four dimensions comes in the form of courageous commitment.…Before the concept of grishtha ashram —keeping up— whenever a person would achieve a state of sacredness, they would run to the forest or the hills with their sacredness and enjoy the sanctuary of their ashram. Grishtha ashram means that one is a full participant in the world...maintains an enlightened practice...yet takes this sacred enlightenment out into the world to inspire the world into its sacredness. (Guru Singh and Guruperkarma, Courageous Commitment)

🌀Find out today whether you are willing to do what it takes to give your gift fully. As a first step, spend at least an hour today giving your fullest gift, whatever that is for today, so that when you go to sleep at night you know you couldn't have lived your day with more courage, creativity, and giving. (David Deida, The Way of the Superior Man)

🌀There is a way through every block. (Aquarian Sutra 4)

TODAY'S SUGGESTED PRACTICE Day 22 of this month's practice, just seven minutes to listen to your own inner oracle... and let Her speak a truth you resist knowing...even when it is a "good" truth, perhaps especially when it is a "good" truth!

Please read through first, then ...

  • Today, sit (or stand) in stillness with one question: How do I hold space to really feel the edge of fear, and let it open me...?
  • Set your timer for seven minutes.
  • Sit or stand. If you are feminine-identified, please sit or lie down to allow your body to be still while your inner tides of feeling ebb and flow, your inner oracle speaks to you. If you are masculine-identified, consider standing, consider feeling the tension in your body as you hold space for yourself and your own tides as you do this practice, as you feel your own resistance to the wisdom of your body telling you how beautiful and strong and knowing you are.
  • Begin by closing your eyes and aligning your body into its truest, most elegant posture, tucking your chin to lift your heart, tilting your pelvis to straighten your spine. Breathe slowly through your nose and down through your softened throat. Feel the "almost-snoring" of your breath as it passes into your body, filling your belly, your heart, then pressing down into your pelvis. If you are sitting or standing, lift out of your pelvis, letting your pelvis and legs become heavy, dropping into the earth below. If you are laying down, let the weight of your hips and shoulders be held by earth's gravity.
  • Feel your breath moving your diaphragm in and out, up and down, becoming slower and deeper, opening your body. Today, let your body "speak." Let sensations move. Let feelings blossom —feelings of old physical and emotional scars, a sore back or hip or knee, a gouty foot or elbow, a tension in your neck— these are all ways your body calls you to attention. So listen. Without "figuring it out," just listen to what your body tells you. Perhaps your heart aches, aches to be held by you because no one can hold your tender heart so dearly as you and it is so unlikely that you've attended to this tenderness, perhaps ever in your life. Perhaps your stomach aches, asking for your strong and gentle hands to be laid on it, to relieve it of the worry that plagues it, that you alone can hold. Perhaps your lungs are heavy with grief and your breathing is choked with tears. Be gentle with these lungs and, with every long, and deep, and gentle breath you hold these too and allow them to move your grief or sadness as needs. Perhaps nothing comes to you, your body quiet and serene. Hold this too. Love this body that provides you with so much of what you need and desire.
  • Continue to breathe into wherever you are called to breathe as you listen, ever deeper, without demand, allowing. Simply allowing. Knowing, with an unreasonable knowing, that your listening is what your body needs most of all for it to begin to speak your truth, to be your oracle, to light your way...
  • As the timer signals the end of these seven minutes of listening allow your eyes to slowly open. Take three, relaxed breath cycles and see your room, your garden, the forest or beach that hosts you and step fully into your day... remembering yourself so sensitive and so knowing, beyond imagination. You are a truth as yet unspoken...

ps. Tomorrow I’ll be talking about a beautiful collaboration. I’m excited to share this with you.
